L-Istitut tal-Ġurnalisti Maltin (IĠM) ilbieraħ filgħaxija ħabbar il-ġurnalisti rebbieħa tal-26 edizzjoni tal-Malta Journalism Awards f’ċerimonja li saret fil-Lukanda The Palace, Tas-Sliema fejn matulha jkunu ppremjati dawk li jaħdmu fil-ġurnaliżmu.

Għas-serata attenda l-Onor. Speaker tal-Kamra tar-Rappreżentanti Dr. Anġlu Farrugia, u dawk preżenti kienu indirizzati mill-Onor. Ministru għall-Edukazzjoni u x-Xogħol, is-Sur Evarist Bartolo fl-okkażjoni tat-tnedija tal-Kors fil-Ġurnaliżmu fil-Livell ta’ Baċellerat li se jsir mill-Kunsill Malti għall-Arti, ix-Xjenza u t-Teknoloġija minn Ottubru li ġej b’kollaborazzjoni mal-Fondazzjoni Tumas Fenech għall-Edukazzjoni fil-Ġurnaliżmu u b’appoġġ tal-Istitut tal-Ġurnalisti Maltin.

Fl-istess ċerimonja, ġurija indipendenti ippreseduta mill-President Emeritus Dr George Abela bħala Chairman, flimkien mas-Sur Malcolm J. Naudi u s-Sur Mario Saliba ħabbret lis-Sur John Pisani, bħala r-rebbieħ tal-Gold Award. Continue reading

NOMINATIONS FOR THE GOLD AWARD NOW OPEN

 

The Institute of Maltese Journalists (IĠM) will be receiving nominations for the Gold Award 2016. Submissions will be accepted from individual persons, associations, organizations or institutions.

Individuals cannot nominate themselves, but everyone is free to submit to the IĠM an individual, group of persons, association, organization, or institution, if in his or her opinion, the nomination qualifies for the Gold Award.

The Tumas Foundation for Education in Journalism (FTFEĠ) sponsors the Gold Award. Continue reading

Tumas Fenech Foundation sponsors 16th Gold Award

Is-Sur John Inguanez (tieni mil-lemin) qed jinghata l-Gold Award.

The Tumas Fenech Foundation for Education in Journalism (FTFEĠ) sponsored the 16th Gold Award, presented during the 23rd Malta Journalist Awards, held earlier this month.

President Emeritus Edward Fenech Adami, who chaired the judging panel for the Gold Award, which was also composed of Anna Bonanno and Laurence Grech, gave the motivation praising the latest recipient of the Gold Award, John Inguanez.

Mr Inguanez spent the first decade of his career in print journalism before moving to the national broadcasting station where he held several senior positions, including Head of News, Head of Radio and Head of Archiving, over a period of 30 years.

As a youth he attended a Thomson Foundation Senior Editors’ Course, ending top of his class, and he has continued even in retirement to conduct research, translate books and write material for TV. [John Inguanez CV attached ]
